BACKSTORY
Recollect is a nonprofit collaborative project founded by New Yorkers who know loss. Too many of us and our family, friends, and neighbors grieved alone this year. We want to come together and uplift our loved ones’ memories in community. We’ll celebrate their lives with music, dance, food, drink, photos, art, and love. It’s free, all ages, and outdoors. If this resonates with you, please join us.
“The deeper that sorrow carves into your being, the more joy you can contain.”
-Gibran
For safety, we’ll ask everyone to show either proof of vaccination or a recent negative Covid test at the door. We’re also limiting capacity, distributing masks and sanitizer, centering the event outdoors and taking other precautions.
